About the Role
We are hiring an Application Support Engineer to join our client’s production support team on a contract basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced financial environment supporting mission-critical applications. You’ll help ensure system stability, troubleshoot real-time issues, and support business continuity in a high-impact setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and support production applications to ensure high availability and performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in real-time
- Analyze system errors, logs, and performance metrics to identify root causes
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams for issue resolution
- Provide timely communication and updates to stakeholders during incidents
- Support deployment activities and ensure adherence to operational processes
- Work in a high-pressure environment with strict SLAs and quick turnaround times
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in Application/Production Support or similar roles
- Strong experience with WebLogic (including WebLogic Portal) and/or IIS
- Working knowledge of Java-based applications
- Experience with web servers such as Apache
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk or Dynatrace (preferred)
- Exposure to job scheduling tools like Autosys (nice to have)
- Experience with Pega reporting (nice to have)
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $60.00 – $65.00 per hour
This range reflects base compensation and may vary based on location, market conditions, experience, and candidate qualifications.
