Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
• Lead and coach up to three agile teams using Kanban and flow-based delivery practices.
• Operate autonomously to assess delivery health, identify systemic impediments, and drive continuous improvement.
• Design, evolve, and coach Kanban systems that improve flow, transparency, and predictability.
• Facilitate key Kanban events including Replenishment, Daily Kanban, Delivery Planning, and Retrospectives.
• Use flow metrics (e.g., WIP, cycle time, throughput, aging work, etc.) to guide evidence-based improvements.
• Coordinate dependencies and alignment across sprint-based, flow-based, hybrid teams, and projects using enterprise planning signals.
• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to maintain healthy backlogs and delivery alignment.
• Serve as a peer mentor and champion agile and Kanban practices across the organization.
Qualifications:
• Certified Scrum Master Credentials (i.e., PSM, CSM, CSP) AND Kanban credentials (i.e., KSD, KSI, KPM).
• Strong experience with Kanban and flow-based delivery in complex environments.
• Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate measurable delivery impact.
• Experience supporting multiple teams and enterprise-level coordination.
• Recent experience (within 2 years) using Azure DevOps (ADO) to drive transparency and improvement.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong facilitation and coaching skills, including the ability to navigate crucial conversations that enable transparency, accountability, and constructive resolution of challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced or scaled agile certifications.
• Ability to create and facilitate team-level training.
• Ability to serve as peer-leader to other Scrum Masters.
• Knowledge and/or experience with Agile software development approaches (Automated Testing, User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Testing, Pairing, etc.).
Education and Experience:
• 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master (minimum 5 years with Kanban teams) supporting multiple agile teams delivering high-quality solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
