Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Lab Technician with microbiology experience to support laboratory operations and testing activities. This role is responsible for performing routine microbiological procedures to ensure accurate sample analysis and data integrity. The position plays a critical role in maintaining laboratory standards through proper aseptic techniques and documentation. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in microbiological testing and a strong understanding of laboratory protocols. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform pH testing of microbiological samples following standard procedures
- Prepare and sterilize microbiological media for testing and analysis
- Conduct pour plating and streak plating for microbial growth assessment
- Perform Gram staining for identification and classification of microorganisms
- Execute serial dilution and enumeration of microbial suspensions accurately
- Maintain strict aseptic technique during all laboratory procedures
- Document and record test results in accordance with laboratory standards
Required Qualifications:
- Hands on experience in microbiology laboratory techniques
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques
- Experience in media preparation and microbial plating methods
- Experience with Gram staining procedures
- Ability to perform serial dilution and microbial enumeration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in regulated laboratory environments such as GMP or GLP
- Strong documentation and data recording skills
- Familiarity with microbiological testing standards
