Title: Application Java Programmer/ Application Architect

Type (Contract, C2H): 1 year contract

Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid- 4x/week in office

Shift/Core Hours: 40 Hours

Compensation: $85-90/hours

Interview Process: 2 Rounds

Day to Day:

• Defining an architectural vision and architecture for large complex solutions, which aligns with the enterprise architecture strategy, technology and platform choices.
• Contributes to the creation of the architecture roadmap of defined domains (Business, Application, Data and Technology) in support of the product roadmap.
• Implementing and architecting high performing, resilient and scalable enterprise systems
• Develop and publish architecture reference material and design patterns to drive designs for consensus and approval, being able to translate easily from technical to non-technical language.
• Full Stack and Front-end development (70% backend development)
• Hands on building and designing new features
• Owning the application
• designing the architecture of the feature and creating design documents
• Work with multiple teams, cross functional/ global (onshore/offshore model)
• Driving meetings with stakeholders and driving decisions
• Presenting PPT decks to senior leaders and dealing with push back/ technical questions on design

Must Haves:

• Current Banking
• Excellent Communication skills - Stakeholder management, presentations, PPTs, decks, driving decisions
• 10+ years of Java backend development
• Design patterns/ architecture exposure hands on
• PowerPoint presentation skills

Pluses:

• UX/UI experience
