Job Title: Operations Training Specialist
Location: Mont Belvieu, TX
Duration: 12 month CTH
Pay Range: $30 to $35 per hour

Must Haves:

  • Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Communications, Energy/Operations
    Management, or related field preferred

Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in training coordination and development or related roles within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of industrial regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programs and materials.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Understanding of industrial procedures, hazard identification, and risk assessment techniques.
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment, machinery, and tools commonly used in industry.
  • Awareness of emergency response protocols, including evacuation procedures, and safety critical equipment.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication skills, and the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in conducting training sessions and workshops for both small and large groups.
  • Knowledge in instructional design, learning management systems (LMS), and e-learning platforms.

Day to Day:

  • Establish an Operational Training Program focused on safely, efficiently, and effectively training both new hire and tenured operations personnel on their specific job functions.
  • Partner with Operational leaders to develop and execute operational training strategies and craft specific technical training.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify training deficiencies and develop strategies to improve training methods and knowledge retention.
  • Develop instructional materials to create interactive, accessible training in multiple formats that achieve a consistent delivery of information.
  • Create and deploy standard work and operational training for supervisory and departmental leadership roles.
  • Act as a resource when standardization in process is required for sustained improvements.
  • Training record management, including updating and maintaining records in the LMS.
  • Maintain operational training matrix and recertification timeline.
