ServiceNow Developer (CMDB and ITOM)

Location: Toronto, ON or Winnipeg, MB (3 day/week onsite)

Contract: 6-month contract to start, with potential extension up to 2 years. There may also be potential for future conversion depending on team needs.

PR: $70-80/hr (as per experience)

Overview: 

• We are looking for a Senior ServiceNow Developer with deep hands-on experience building workflows, integrations, and enterprise solutions in ServiceNow. This is a senior-level role requiring strong technical depth, proactive ownership, and the ability to contribute across the development lifecycle in a lean team environment.
• The ideal candidate will be able to build complex workflows in Flow Designer, develop integrations from scratch, participate in technical design discussions, support peer reviews, and work directly with stakeholders when needed. This is not a junior role — the team is looking for someone who can operate independently and bring strong delivery maturity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions and enhancements.
• Build large, complex workflows using Flow Designer.
• Develop and support integrations from scratch.
• Perform scripting and development across the ServiceNow platform.
• Participate in technical design and solution discussions.
• Work directly with stakeholders in some cases to clarify requirements and shape solutions.
• Support code quality through peer reviews and best-practice guidance.
• Proactively manage story progress, provide updates, and pull in additional work when capacity allows.
• Collaborate with BAs, architects, platform admins, and other team members across the sprint lifecycle.
• Contribute in dev through UAT handoff; production deployments are handled by another team member.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of ServiceNow development experience
• 5+ years of Flow Designer experience
• Proven experience building large, complex workflows
• Strong experience with:
• ServiceNow scripting
• Integrations
• Technical design
• Workflow development
• Platform best practices
• Ability to answer deep technical questions in an architect-led interview
• Experience working independently in a fast-paced Agile team
• Strong ownership mindset and proactive delivery approach
• Required ServiceNow certifications (as noted by hiring manager)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SPM / PPM
• Experience with ITOM, especially Service Mapping
• Experience with CMDB-related work
• Financial services or banking industry experience is a strong asset.
