Position Details:

Job Title: Business Data Analyst (Investment/Asset Management)

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid- 1-2x/week)

Duration: Fulltime

Compensation: $120K-$130K/Annum

Start Date: ASAP

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• 8-10+ years of experience as a Business Data analyst or BA Specialist within Capital Markets, Asset management working with tools like Bloomberg, Calypso, Charles River or similar tools.
• Strong domain knowledge in Capital markets and experience working with front office, back office etc.
• Extensive experience working with Derivatives etc.
• Extensive experience working with front office side and working on data part and experience in SQL, Python, Power BI or Tableau.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills and able to liaise effectively with senior business leaders, risk partners, and technology teams.
• Use standard templates to develop requirement specifications (Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), epics, user stories, acceptance criteria). Update templates as needed and proactively make recommendations to improve templates and other documentation.
• Act as a key supporting resource in data analysis, statistical analysis using complex information from various sources and presenting the data into simple and concise reports
• Work closely with the management teams and business partners to ensure roadmap is continuously maintained, looking at current and future state. Update roadmap with new business requirements/needs as they arise.
• Function as a liaison between technology teams, support teams and business units
• Deliver work products throughout the Agile life-cycle.
• Strong understanding of data management
• Strong analytical skills and statistical analysis with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate important information with attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to provide advice and guidance and present information clearly and concisely to all levels within the organization, including executives.
• Ability to interact professionally with management and professionals at various levels
• Ability to work with minimal direction, prioritize multiple projects, coach and assist others and meet strict deadlines
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and changing environments and desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Clear and efficient communicator in both technical and non-technical environments; deliver informative and well-organized presentations.
