• As the Flexera implementation matures, the client needs a dedicated resource to turn asset data into actionable cost and usage intelligence. This role bridges ITAM operations and financial decision-making, supporting savings identification, charge validation, and executive-level visibility.
• The role is intentionally flexible, supporting analysis across multiple domains and teams, and working directly with stakeholders to continuously improve how asset data is consumed, visualized, and used in decision-making.

Mission

• Transform raw IT asset data into meaningful usage analytics and cost optimization insights. Partner across the organization to improve reporting, surface insights, validate spend, and inform IT investment and renewal decisions.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Analyze IT asset usage and cost data across hardware, software, and services to identify optimization opportunities and savings targets
• Perform cross-organizational analysis, adapting insights for IT, Finance, and business stakeholders with varying needs
• Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting gaps and continuously improve analytic outputs and dashboards
• Validate vendor invoices and usage-based charges against asset data and contractual entitlements
• Support chargeback/showback models and cost allocation frameworks
• Collaborate closely with Hardware and Software Asset Managers to ensure data completeness, quality, and analytical accuracy
• Leverage automation and AI-assisted analysis techniques, where appropriate, to improve insight generation and reporting efficiency
• Participate in 8:00 AM CT daily stand-up and support ad hoc data requests from ITAM leadership

Must Haves

• Mid-level experience in IT asset analytics, data analysis, or a closely related technical discipline
• Proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or equivalent)
• Understanding of IT asset management concepts — licensing, usage data, cost allocation
• Experience extracting and synthesizing insights from large datasets
• Strong communication — ability to translate data findings into business-facing narratives. 

Pluses

• Familiarity with Flexera analytics or reporting modules
• Background in IT financial management (ITFM) or technology business management (TBM)
• Experience with invoice validation or vendor charge reconciliation in an IT context
• SQL or scripting skills for data extraction and transformation
• Exposure to AI or machine-assisted analytics (e.g., pattern detection, forecasting, summarization, or Copilot-style tools)
