Job Title - Sr. Full Stack (Python/React) Engineer Remote

Pay range - $63 - $69/hr

What You’ll Do:  

• Full Stack Development Design, build, and enhance a modern web application using React (frontend) and Python (backend)  

• Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable code across the full stack  

• Implement new features supporting rights tracking, licensing workflows, and content ownership management  

• Ensure seamless integration between UI, APIs, and backend services Backend & API Engineering  

• Build and optimize RESTful APIs and backend services  

• Refactor and improve legacy code to enhance performance and maintainability  

• Handle complex data models tied to rights, contracts, and licensing structures  

• Ensure high availability and reliability of critical services  

• Cloud Migration & Modernization Lead and contribute to the migration from VM-based infrastructure to Support lift-and-shift strategies while identifying opportunities for cloud-native improvements Work with services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and others as applicable  

• Improve system scalability, observability, and resilience in a cloud environment  

• Performance & Data Optimization Write and optimize complex SQL queries for high-volume datasets Improve database performance, indexing, and query efficiency  

• Ensure data integrity across rights management workflows 

•  Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with product managers, legal teams, and business stakeholders to translate rights management requirements into technical solutions 

• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives  

• System Ownership & Modernization Take ownership of an existing application and drive its evolution  

• Identify technical debt and implement scalable solutions Contribute to long-term modernization strategy and engineering best practices 

Must Have 

• Must-Haves 5–10 years of professional software engineering experience  

• Strong full stack development experience in production environments  

• Advanced proficiency with React (modern JavaScript frameworks, hooks, component architecture)  

• Strong backend development experience with Python Hands-on experience (including cloud migration or modernization efforts)  

• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) 

• Experience contributing to end-to-end system upgrades or transformations  

• Experience working on projects related to converting from an on prem to cloud environment 

Pluses 

• Preferred Qualifications  

• Experience within media, entertainment, or content rights management systems  

• Familiarity with TypeScript
