Role Overview:
- We’re looking for a QA Engineer with strong expertise in test automation, API testing, and system integrations, ideally within mortgage or lending domains.
- You’ll play a key role in ensuring end-to-end quality across complex financial systems, covering UI, APIs, data, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Strategy & Execution:
- Define and execute comprehensive test strategies (functional, integration, performance, non-functional)
- Ensure alignment with enterprise quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Embed quality across the Agile delivery lifecycle
Automation & Technical Testing:
- Build and maintain UI automation using Playwright
- Perform API testing using Bruno or similar tools
- Validate data integrity across databases and systems
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Integration & System Testing:
- Validate end-to-end data flows across mortgage platforms
- Test APIs, microservices, and system integrations
- Troubleshoot issues related to system dependencies and messaging
Performance Testing:
- Design and execute performance tests using Apache JMeter
- Identify bottlenecks and support performance optimization
- Contribute to system scalability and reliability validation
Domain Validation (Mortgage/Lending):
- Validate workflows including:
- Application submission
- Underwriting
- Fulfillment
- Funding
- Ensure compliance with lending rules and policies
Defect Management & Reporting:
- Log, track, and manage defects through resolution
- Participate in defect triage and prioritization
- Provide clear reporting on quality metrics and risks
Required Qualifications:
Experience
- 5–7+ years in Quality Assurance / Test Engineering
- Strong experience in:
- Automation testing
- API & integration testing
- Performance testing
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with:
- Playwright (UI automation)
- Bruno (API testing)
- Apache JMeter (performance testing)
- Experience testing:
- APIs & microservices
- Integrated enterprise systems
- Familiarity with:
- CI/CD pipelines
- Database validation
Domain & Delivery:
- Experience in mortgage, lending, or financial services platforms (preferred)
- Strong understanding of end-to-end system workflows
- Experience working in Agile environments
Soft Skills:
