Job Title: Mechanical Plumbing Engineer / Designer

Salary Range - $110,000 - $140,000

Seeking a Mechanical Plumbing Engineer / Designer with 3+ years of experience to join their Woodland Hills office. This individual will be responsible for the design and engineering of plumbing systems across a wide range of project types, with a strong focus on large-scale residential developments. The ideal candidate is technically strong, comfortable consulting with owners and general contractors, and enjoys working collaboratively within a multi-discipline engineering firm.

Day to Day:

• Design and engineer plumbing systems for mid-rise and high-rise residential projects, with exposure to healthcare, education, and data center facilities.

• Develop system layouts, calculations, riser diagrams, and detailed construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.

• Perform domestic water calculations and multi-system plumbing designs (including riser diagrams).

• Analyze sketches, notes, and design inputs to determine optimal technical solutions.

• Coordinate with internal mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil teams to ensure integrated designs.

• Participate in field observations, site visits, and preparation of observation reports.

• Consult directly with owners, architects, and general contractors.

• Support project delivery across multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior designers and engineers.

Must Haves:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience designing plumbing systems for multi-family residential or commercial buildings.
• Working knowledge of applicable plumbing, mechanical, and energy codes and construction practices.
• High proficiency with AutoCAD AND Revit; experience with BIM 360 and similar CAD/BIM tools.
• Strong professional skills, including clear communication, organization, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

Plusses:

• California experience (Los Angeles specifically would be a huge plus)

• B.A. or B.S. in Engineering or a related field

• Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) or equivalent

• California EIT or PE Registration
