Pay Range: $55/hr – $60/hr

 

Job Description:

  • The Scrum Master – Finance Technology (Release & Delivery Focused) is responsible for driving disciplined Agile execution with a strong emphasis on SDLC rigor and release management.
  • This role requires a deep understanding of end-to-end software delivery, release orchestration, and operational readiness within enterprise financial systems.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, ensuring consistent execution and delivery of committed sprint goals.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies that drive decisions, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach teams and Product Owners using delivery metrics, flow analysis, and data-driven insights.
  • Ensure sprint outcomes deliver incremental business or customer value aligned to finance outcomes.
  • Apply strong working knowledge of the full SDLC, from intake and planning through build, test, release, and post-production support.
  • Manage and coordinate release planning, timelines, dependencies, risks, and cutovers across multiple teams.
  • Ensure operational readiness for releases, including non-functional requirements, monitoring and alerting, runbooks, and operational documentation.
  • Drive release cadence discipline, escalation management, and stakeholder communications.
  • Partner with engineering teams to promote modern delivery practices such as CI/CD and automation.
  • Maintain strong Jira hygiene, including accurate work capture, status reporting, dependency tracking, and capacity planning.
  • Improve backlog readiness, flow efficiency, and execution effectiveness.
  • Produce dashboards and reports that provide transparency into delivery health, forecasting, and financial accuracy.

 

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
  • Experience in managing releases, dependencies, and production readiness within complex SDLC environments.
  • Proficiency in Jira for work capture, status reporting, and capacity planning.
  • Ability to coach teams and Product Owners using delivery metrics and data-driven insights
  • Excellent facilitation skills for Scrum ceremonies.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and escalation management.
  • Familiarity with modern delivery practices such as CI/CD and automation.
