About the Role** We are seeking a Senior Data Governance Engineer to design and implement scalable data governance frameworks. This role will ensure data integrity, quality, privacy, and accessibility across cloud-based data platforms. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with enterprise strategy and support production release cycles to ensure platform stability. **Responsibilities** - Design and implement data governance frameworks for cloud-based platforms. - Build and automate data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks. - Develop and maintain metadata management and cataloging solutions. - Engineer and enforce data quality controls and monitoring systems. - Advance and maintain end-to-end data lineage for transparency. - Implement role-based access control, data masking, and privacy controls. - Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning for data processing workloads. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives in data governance and engineering. - Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams. - Operate within Agile/Scrum methodologies using collaboration tools. - Support production release cycles and operational support. - Collaborate with the Data Steward to mobilize data quality lifecycle. **Education Qualification** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field. **Required Skills** - 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in similar data-focused roles. - Expertise in Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, ADLS Gen2, Azure Synapse, and Azure SQL/SQL Server. - Hands-on experience with Databricks Unity Catalog and Informatica CDGC. - Proficiency in SQL and Python; familiarity with Java or Scala. - Understanding of data warehousing, relational data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and cloud-native data engineering patterns. - Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. - Familiarity with Power BI for building dashboards and data models. - Understanding of data security practices, including RBAC, encryption, and data masking. - Experience with automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, or similar tools. **Preferred Qualifications** - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution design capabilities. - Commitment to continuous learning and process improvement. - Familiarity with production release processes and operational support models.
