Pay range : $110k - $150k

Job Overview:

This is a senior-level structural engineering role focused heavily on substation structures and foundations (steel & concrete). The engineer will work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality designs across energy and commercial projects. This person will also have the opportunity to contribute to traditional building design work, making this a hybrid role between energy infrastructure and commercial structural engineering.

Day to Day:

• Perform structural analysis and design for substation structures and foundations
• Support BESS and data center-related structural projects
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project teams to ensure coordinated designs
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, designers, and drafters
• Participate in project meetings and client communication
• Review drawings and ensure quality and accuracy of deliverables
• Interface with contractors during construction for RFIs, clarifications, and issue resolution
• Support project management efforts, including timelines and profitability

Must Haves:

• B.S. degree in Civil or Structural engineering.
• 7 or more years of experience with design of concrete and steel structures.
• Substation structure and foundation design experience.
• Ability to work independently with proper engineering oversight.
• Ability to work and collaborate in larger project teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
