Job Title :Structural Engineer/Computational Engineer

Salary :$80,000-$90,000

Role overview: 

• This role sits at the intersection of structural engineering and software development. The individual will work closely with engineering and Advanced Technology teams to develop internal tools, automate workflows, and support innovation initiatives across the organization. 

• This is a hands-on hybrid role balancing structural engineering knowledge with internal software/tool development. 

• This role is focused more on engineering enablement and workflow improvement than production structural design ownership. 

• Unlike a traditional structural engineering role focused on a single project type, this individual will support a wide range of engineering initiatives and projects across the company. 

Day to Day:  

• Develop internal engineering and workflow automation tools using C# 

• Collaborate with structural engineers to streamline design and analysis workflows 

• Support development of engineering automation and technology-driven workflows, including exploratory AI initiatives 

• Assist with integration of engineering software platforms and automation processes 

• Translate engineering challenges into scalable technical solutions 

• Work across multiple project types and engineering groups throughout the organization 

• Partner closely with both engineering and technology-focused team members 

Must Haves:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computational Engineering, or related engineering discipline 

• 3-5 years of professional experience in structural engineering, computational engineering, or engineering technology 

• Strong understanding of structural engineering fundamentals and beam design concepts 

• Proficiency programming and developing tools using C# 

• Must have both structural engineering fundamentals and C# programming/tool development experience 

• Ability to work cross-functionally between engineering and technology teams 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

Plusses:  

• PE license (nice to have, not required) 

• Familiarity with Revit API, Rhino/Grasshopper, Dynamo, or related design technologies 

• Exposure to ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, Tekla, or related structural analysis tools 

• Background with workflow automation, scripting, or computational design 

• Understanding of Python or other scripting/programming languages
