Title: Accountant II
Location: Houston, TX

Pay Range: 70K-80K
Day-to-day:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and consolidation reports according to U.S. GAAP.
- Data Analysis & Review: Analyze general ledger and accrual accounts, investigate unusual activity, perform variance analysis, and create explanatory reports.
- Journal Entries & Audits: Handle routine and complex journal entries (including landfill cost updates and contract changes) while maintaining clear audit trails.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with operations, engineering, and other corporate finance teams (like SEC reporting); guide junior finance staff.
Must-haves:

Between 3-7 years of experience of accounting experience

SAP experience: specifically in fixed assets and intercompany transactions
- Public accounting experience

Oil and gas background
