- The Leave of Absence Consultant supports the People Solutions Specialized Services team and serves as the primary point of contact for employees navigating Leaves of Absence (LOA).
- This role is responsible for end to end leave case management while also contributing to operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- The consultant ensures a consistent, compliant, and positive employee experience by partnering closely with leave administration vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Administer leave of absence cases (including FMLA and other statutory leaves) in partnership with third party leave administration vendors, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave processes, timelines, documentation requirements, and return to work planning.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams (Payroll, Benefits, People Business Partners) to resolve eligibility questions, escalations, and timing or pay related issues.
- Monitor leave cases to ensure accurate data, timely processing, and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Track and report on leave metrics, trends, and operational performance to support compliance and continuous improvement.
- Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to leave related process improvement initiatives and operational enhancements.
- Develop and maintain LOA playbooks, templates, job aids, and training materials to support consistent practices.
- Participate in cross functional projects related to leave administration, such as vendor optimization, payroll integration, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects where applicable
