Title - Media Supply Chain Engineer
Pay Range - $55- $60/hr
We are seeking a Media Supply Chain Engineer to build, maintain, and optimize our cloud native content factory. This is a technical, execution-focused role centered on configuring the SDVI Rally platform to manage petabytes of content. You will write the logic for automated ingest, transcode, QC, and delivery pipelines, ensuring high availability and system resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Development: Author and maintain declarative supply chain definitions using Python and JSON to automate complex media processing.
- Platform Configuration: Set up and manage Rally Core components, including storage silos, notification providers, and Rally Gateway portals for operational staff.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop custom AWS Lambda functions to handle unique metadata transformations and Rest API integrations with MAM or CMS systems.
- Operational Support: Troubleshoot failed jobs within the Rally timeline, identifying root causes across code, cloud infrastructure, or source media essence.
- Performance Optimization: Use Rally Insights data to optimize resource utilization and reduce cloud infrastructure costs.
Must Have:
- SDVI Proficiency: Hands-on experience configuring Rally Core, Gateway, and Access.
- SDVI Proficiency: Strong proficiency with (S3, EC2, Lambda, IAM) for media-heavy workloads.
- Programming: Professional experience with Python and JSON for building scalable back-end components.
- Media Engineering: Deep knowledge of video codecs (ProRes, XAVC, HEVC), containers (MXF, MP4), and mastering packages like IMF.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex technical bottlenecks in automated environments.
