- Our client is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to join the Global Risk Technology team and support strategic Gen AI and Data initiatives within the Operational Risk domain.

- The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of operational risk management, business analysis methodologies, data mapping, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Support Gen AI and data-driven initiatives within the Operational Risk portfolio.
- Analyze and document operational risk processes, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting workflows.
- Develop comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.
- Perform source-to-target data mapping and document end-to-end data flows for enterprise data lake and reporting solutions.
- Conduct gap analysis, process analysis, and exploratory data analysis to identify business improvement opportunities.
- Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Partner with Agile delivery teams and actively participate in Scrum ceremonies.
- Support risk reporting, governance, and technology enhancement initiatives.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, and data teams to ensure requirements are accurately implemented and tested.
- Assist with system analysis, design validation, and ongoing application support activities.
- 3–5 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or related role.
- Strong understanding of operational risk concepts, terminology, risk hierarchy, and risk management frameworks.
- Experience supporting Gen AI use case development and business analysis activities.
- Strong proficiency in SQL with hands-on experience performing data analysis.
- Experience creating data mappings, data flow diagrams, and requirements documentation.
- Knowledge of enterprise data lake architectures and cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using tools such as Jira.
- Familiarity with Azure OpenAI and Azure Synapse.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience with RSA Archer or other Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Basel, OSFI, or similar risk governance standards.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting and visualization tools.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Cosmos DB.
- Agile, Business Analysis, Risk Management, or related professional certifications.
- Previous experience within financial services, insurance, banking, or highly regulated environments.
- Strong business communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
