Job Title: Accounting Assistant/Accounting Clerk
Location:Sioux Falls, SD 57108 - Onsite Role
Duration: 06 Months (Onsite - Role) - (Extension based on performance)
Pay Rate: $20.00-22.00/hr.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Process return transactions for credit cards, checks, and ACH payments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations while handling returns.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in return transactions.
- Communicate with relevant internal departments (e.g., customer service, fraud, and compliance) to resolve return issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations and financial product policies impacting returns processing.
- Monitor transaction trends and flag any suspicious or unusual activity for further investigation.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of all return transactions.
Qualifications:

High school diploma
- 1-3 years of experience in financial operations, returns processing, or a related role.
- Familiarity with credit card, check, and ACH payment processing.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficient in using financial software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle discrepancies.
