Description:
About the Role:
  • We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing laboratory media/solutions, operating auto clave, PH solutions, plate/enumerate microbes, filling out data reports, and placing results on a spreadsheet using Lotus.
  • This position is NonExempt and hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare laboratory media/solutions
  • Operate auto clave
  • Prepare PH solutions
  • Plate/enumerate microbes
  • Fill out data reports
  • Place results on a spreadsheet using Lotus
  • Perform data analysis
  • Communicate data results
  • Conduct calculations
  • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Have good analytical skills
  • Be flexible to being trained
 
Education Qualification:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree in a related field preferred
 
Required Skills:
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in using Lotus or similar spreadsheet software
  • Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment
