Summary:
Market Data Technology & Services (MDT&S) is seeking a senior member to join the Market Data Development team. This role will involve facilitating the integration of market data technologies within the firm, as well as designing and deploying market data systems and services for different business units.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Market Data APIs and operational tools in Java
- Scripting in Bash and Python
- Knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast, Routing Protocols, Security)
- Experience with CI/CD Tooling (Git, Jira, Ansible)
- Strong data structures skills, multi-threaded programming, and caching technologies
- Develop performance and diagnostic tools for market data systems
- Provide 3rd level support as the highest level of internal technical escalation.
Must Haves:
- Excellent scripting ability in Bash and Python
- Good understanding of network technologies
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating environments
- Experience with CI/CD Tooling
- Strong data structures skills and multi-threaded programming
- Experience with latency critical, high throughput distributed systems
- Understanding of RESTful principles and related technologies.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in microservices/full stack development
- Knowledge of Market Data Distribution technologies (Bloomberg)
- Expertise in consolidated and direct feeds
- Experience with Refinitiv RFA, RTAPI, and Bloomberg market data APIs
- Familiarity with financial market applications and internal trading flows
