About the Role:

• The team focuses on utilizing enzymatic digestions, liquid chromatography, and mass spectrometry methods for protein identification and quantification in various samples.
• The Research Associate will be responsible for lab reagent preparation, sample extractions, total protein determinations, enzymatic digestions, and equipment operation to ensure timely and quality results for clients.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare lab reagents and maintain inventory
• Perform sample extractions, total protein quantitation, and enzymatic digestion
• Operate equipment for chromatography and mass spectrometry  Troubleshoot processes as needed
• Promote a safe working environment
• Look for process improvement opportunities and assist in implementing solutions

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or equivalent relevant education and experience

Required Skills:

• Strong wet-lab skills
• Ability to work well in teams and independently
• Attention to detail and ability to stay focused
• Experience with problem identification, problem solving, and process improvement
• Preferred
• Experience with protein-specific analysis, sample preparation for proteomics, knowledge of mass spectrometry, database maintenance, high performance liquid chromatography, and mass spectrometry.
