Position Details: 

• Client: Financial
• Role: Surplus Lines Tax Manager
• Project Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
• Project Duration: 6 Months
• Pay Range: $30/hour to $36/hour

• Lead and manage the East Region Surplus Lines Tax Team:
  Oversee the day-to-day operations of the surplus lines tax team in the East region.
  Recruit, hire, and onboard qualified tax-filing employees.
  Manage and develop the performance of the East Region tax filing team.
• Ensure accurate and timely surplus line tax filings.
  Utilize in-depth knowledge of surplus lines tax laws, filing procedures, and reporting requirements across various states.
  Maintain compliance with all state filing deadlines for surplus line taxes.
  Collaborate with internal teams in other regions to ensure consistency in surplus line tax filing procedures.
• Foster Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
  Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, underwriting) to ensure effective communication on surplus line tax matters.
  Share knowledge and expertise on surplus lines tax regulations with internal teams across the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team.
• Experience with surplus lines compliance
• Working knowledge of MS Office(Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
