Main Purpose of Role:
  • Provide Process/Quality Engineering support to manufacturing to ensure delivery of the highest quality product to customers.
  • Provide Process/Quality Engineering support to product development teams to ensure the development of the highest quality new products.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Identify and control Manufacturing process defects by participating in efforts focused on identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Query & bound data to support the implementation of complex & document release criteria.
  • Develop product quality plans, documents, and systems by creating specifications and quality plans.
  • Create risk analyses and FMEAs.
  • Develop Process Monitoring Systems to reduce process variation and eliminate defects.
  • Lead process improvement efforts by capturing quality metric data and performing analysis methods.
  • Assist in the creation of Quality Tools & Training Materials by understanding limitations and identifying more effective tools & materials.
  • Cultivate internal and external networks to facilitate tasks.
  • Lead project teams of moderate scope.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced staff and act as a mentor.
  • The influence is exerted at the peer level and occasionally at the first levels of management.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize own daily work routine to meet established schedule.
  • Exercise authority and judgment within defined limits to determine appropriate action.
  • Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions may cause delays in program schedules and result in the allocation of additional resources.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years related work experience with a good understanding of specified functional areas.

  • General understanding of business unit/group function. 
  • Will perform this job in a quality system environment.

  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. 
  • Has a broad knowledge of technical alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the systems environment.
