About the Role:

• We are seeking a candidate to fill an entry-level position in a Pilot Scale Fermentation Lab/Chemical Production Lab.
• The role involves 80%-90% lab work along with some documentation.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong science background and a keen interest in fields such as Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, or Physics.
• Familiarity with hand tools is a plus as the role may involve equipment repairs. The position offers a flexible schedule with the possibility of weekend work.

Responsibilities:

• Operate fermenters, including sterilization, repair, inoculation, cell growth, harvest, and cleaning
• Maintain high sterile technique standards
• Conduct shake flask inoculation and sampling in a sterile manner  Perform fermenter sampling and monitoring
• Operate autoclave and mix acids/bases safely
• Conduct off-line sample analysis using equipment such as viscometer, centrifuge, spectrophotometer, and pH meter
• Perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment
• Schedule and manage work tasks in alignment with team goals - Independently perform research tasks according to standard operating procedures
• Adapt operating procedures as needed to meet experimental objectives

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, Physics)
