About the Role:

• We are looking for a General Laboratory Support Technician to join our Pivotal Biologics Drug Substance Laboratories team in Cambridge, MA.
• The role involves providing essential support to the laboratories to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the BST laboratories by driving organization and improving productivity through adherence to 5S principles.
• Create and maintain digital lab occupancy plans for equipment, consumables, and personnel.
• Initiate, coordinate, and track work orders for facility and equipment repairs, maintenance, installation, and removal.
• Coordinate and participate in scheduled lab cleanout activities and safety walkthroughs.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance, calibration, daily system initializations, and repair service of equipment and instruments.
• Maintain process-related instrumentation, lab automation tools, reactor equipment, and stocking of parts, accessories, and consumables.
• Support laboratory/equipment software installations and upgrades.
• Maintain an online tracking tool to manage instrument usage and operational status.
• Order and organize laboratory reagents and consumables for experiments.
• Generate purchase orders, chemical shipping documents, and equipment orders.
• Handle incoming and outgoing shipments of tools, equipment, consumables, and chemicals.

Education Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field or equivalent experience.

Required Skills:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration. Proficiency in using digital tools for inventory management.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
