Job Title: Commodity and Sourcing Manager

Job Location: Redmond, WA 98052

Job Duration: 6 Months (Contract to hire)

Pay Rate: $55/hr to $60/hr

About the team:

The aerospace team is working to provide cellphone and internet access globally.
Launching 3300 Satellites from now to 2028.
They fall out of orbit for 5-7 years, so they also launch replacements for those.

Mission:

Coordination and completion of sourcing projects related to mechanical components for Aerospace Projects.
Oversees all aspects of sourcing projects including identification of vendors/sources, setting deliverable deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitors and summarizing progress of deliverables

Day to Day:

Sourcing Projects (both tactically and more strategically)
Negotiating longer-term contracts with vendors (redlining and drafting aren't as necessary for this role)
Working through the existing backlog of POs
Communicating with other teams to figure out what's needed
Oversees all aspects of sourcing projects including identification of vendors/sources, setting deliverable deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitors and summarizing progress of deliverables. Prepares reports for upper management regarding the status of projects as needed.

Must Haves:

Supply Chain background.
Purchasing / Sourcing Experience !!
Experience in negotiation contracts ((redlining and drafting aren't as necessary for this role)
Some mechanical background (Sourcing for mechanical parts, working in the mechanical industry)
