Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly motivated Chemical Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting our company's compliance with chemical regulations and advocating for our interests related to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze global regulations and legislation related to chemical substances, with a focus on non-US markets.
  • Develop and distribute alerts to keep internal stakeholders informed of critical regulatory updates.
  • Utilize internal software tools to track and manage chemical substances throughout the regulatory lifecycle.
  • Advocate on behalf of the company with key North American agencies (via trade associations) on EPR issues related to chemical substances.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop the company's position on critical EPR topics.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of relevant regulations and their impact on the automotive industry.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports to communicate complex technical information to stakeholders.
  • Utilize MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiently.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Maintain excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with chemical regulations in the consumer products or durable goods industries (preferably automotive).
  • Strong understanding of global chemical regulations and legislation.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex information and prepare clear reports.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
