Role:- Senior Network Engineer

Duration:- 24+ Months(Possible Extension)

Location:- Lathrop, CA 95330 (100% Onsite)

Pay Range:- $83/Hr - $85/Hr

Job Description:

Specialize in network engineering in a global enterprise environment. This role will provide network engineering, implementation, analytical, and operational support. The engineer will ensure compliance with established system architecture, regulations, and security policies, follow standards and best practices, and author and maintain support documentation.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with Staff Network Engineers on design and initiatives
Maintain current network solutions within workplace, factories, and logistics warehouses
Function as a Tier-2/3 escalation point
Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on requirements gathering, and analysis, and propose solutions to networking needs
Provision, implement, test/validate, and maintain networking services per solution design
Discipline in following the change request process
Monitor, analyze, and report metrics of network services
Document network knowledgebase and operational “Run-Book”
Must be able to work occasional weekends, after-hours, and holidays
Participate in on-call rotation
2% travel required as necessary

Qualifications:

6+ years’ experience in mid-large global enterprise networking infrastructure
Extensive experience in IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols (spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP), LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, QOS, VLAN, ACL, application flow, NAC, and infrastructure cabling.
Extensive experience with multi-vendor firewall technologies including Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and Juniper SRX
Extensive experience with multi-vendor switching technologies including Juniper EX and QFX and Cisco Industrial Ethernet
Extensive experience with low voltage CAT6, Fiber, & IT Room layout and environmental
Experience with troubleshooting circuit carriers
Experience with various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, SNMP, IPAM, RADIUS, Netbrain, and Splunk
Experience with developing scripts to automate infrastructure deployment and collect metrics
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
