  • About the Role: We are looking for a Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to process conventional and government loan requests based on product, underwriting, and state specific and investor guidelines. The ideal candidate will maintain effective communication with all necessary parties involved in a new loan application to ensure a seamless and positive application experience.
  • Responsibilities: Communicate with customers, brokers, loan officers, and co-workers to gather necessary documentation for loan applications
  • Obtain processing related documentation such as Verification of Employment, IRS Transcripts, title search, appraisal, bank statements, etc.
  • Notify all parties of irregularities relative to standard mortgage guidelines
  • Monitor and update credit reports, appraisals, income documentation, and verifications to ensure underwriting conditions are met
  • Work closely with underwriting to resolve any issues or concerns
  • Perform administrative duties supporting the origination department
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and guidelines Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management Promote diversity and reflect the company's brand
  • Maintain internal control standards and implement audit points
  • Education Qualification: Associates degree with a minimum of one year of mortgage industry experience or two years equivalent work experience OR three years equivalent work experience including a minimum of one year of mortgage industry experience OR six months specific.
  • Required Skills: Good PC skills with knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, email, and PDF software - Ability to make sound decisions based on information provided
  • Knowledge of Product, Investor, and Compliance Requirements
  • Versatility and flexibility working in a fast paced mortgage environment
  • Ability to function independently within time constraints
