Primary Responsibilities:

Manage and execute financing transactions, focusing on structured finance or asset-based lending
Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to loans and collateral, including servicing contract rights
Provide legal counsel on securitization and mortgage servicing matters
Conduct thorough due diligence on financial transactions
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Utilize MS Office Suite and SharePoint for documentation and project management
Analyze and interpret complex legal and financial information
Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies and policies

Qualifications:

Licensed Attorney with 7-10 years of relevant legal experience
Proven experience in transactional work, specifically in structured finance or asset-based lending
In-depth understanding of the finance industry, with a preference for commercial or multifamily real estate experience
Expertise in securitization, mortgage servicing, and asset-based lending
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project) and SharePoint
Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and document drafting skills
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment (onsite in McLean, VA Tuesday through Thursday)
