The Customer Care Specialist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, on-site environment. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, particularly in processing enrollment applications within the Healthcare Insurance, Workers’ Compensation, or Medicaid markets. The successful candidate will work closely with providers and ancillary staff to address inquiries and maintain accurate provider enrollment records for Medicaid programs. This is a 100% on-site position with no remote work opportunities available.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Care and Satisfaction: Interact professionally with healthcare providers and ancillary staff to provide timely and appropriate responses to inquiries and concerns regarding provider enrollment and file maintenance for Medicaid programs.
  • Application Processing: Process and complete 100% of assigned enrollment applications daily, utilizing documented work instructions. Ensure that all applications meet minimum standards and are completed accurately.
  • Data Entry: Perform data entry of paper applications, ensuring the accuracy of provider-submitted enrollment information. Validate the information against required standards and documentation.
  • Deficiency Notification: Send out deficiency letters to notify providers of incomplete or inaccurate applications, ensuring that all necessary corrections are communicated promptly.
  • Daily Quotas: Meet or exceed minimum daily quotas for processing applications and responding to provider inquiries.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; 2 years of college education preferred, with an emphasis on Business Administration or Healthcare Management. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of college education.
  • Experience:
  • At least 2 years of experience in processing enrollment applications within the Healthcare Insurance, Workers’ Compensation, or Medicaid markets.
  • Strong background in customer service, with the ability to interact professionally and empathetically with healthcare providers and ancillary staff.
  • Experience in data entry and validation of sensitive information, with a strong attention to detail.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within the healthcare or insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid programs and provider enrollment processes.
  • Familiarity with processing applications and maintaining accurate records in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
