About the Role:

• The Quality Specialist/Engineer brings a ‘testing mindset’ to the team and is responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes.
• They are subject matter experts on testing practices, ensuring that the testing strategy and processes are well defined and continuously improved for the team or teams.
• This role is part of a centralized team within the Productivity Architecture Engineering organization.

Responsibilities:

• Establishing a test and automation strategy
• Creating common test frameworks
• Defining and managing test processes including:
• Test data generation
• Defect management
• Reporting
• Supporting and maintaining compliance through various systems, processes, and tollgates related to the operation and development of application/services
• Aligned to specific technology groups within the team
• Creating and optimizing test processes including defect management and reporting
• Contributing to building quality into the System Design Lifecycle (SDLC) using best practices and tools
• Creating a test automation strategy across the application stack (UI, API, Backend, etc.)
• Leading test planning for complex features that span across the platform or multiple teams
• Ensuring alignment and sign off for test cases from business and other stakeholders
• Managing test execution and assisting with resolving, communicating, or escalating any issues that may result in test plan variance
• Contributing to test data management approach, processes, and tools
• Participating in triaging reported issues/defects and assisting with resolving or escalating them as necessary
• Creating and managing traceability
• Using testing tools and following processes to complete testing on a given test environment and assisting with the fulfillment of necessary steps required to promote the code base to higher-level environments
