- As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our operational processes, enhancing workplace ergonomics, and minimizing safety risks.
- You will leverage your technical expertise to design efficient workflows, improve productivity, and ensure a safe and comfortable working environment for our employees.
- Process Optimization: Collaborate with stakeholders and engineers to design cost-effective operational processes and building ergonomics that reduce or eliminate safety risks.
- Ergonomic Design: Design, redesign, or enhance work areas and processes to minimize awkward postures, repetitive motions, and inefficient operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and equipment. Apply this knowledge to maintain a competitive edge.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and assess operational issues, research solutions, and implement recommendations.
- Systems Development: Develop and maintain management information systems, planning tools, and control systems. Oversee the implementation of complex operational processes.
- Efficiency Enhancement: Develop and implement systems to improve efficiency in areas such as quality control, supply chain, employee productivity, and cost reduction.
- Data Analysis: Conduct time studies and work sampling to identify efficient methods and analyze data for process improvement.
- Ergonomic Solutions: Develop ergonomic solutions to reduce injuries, improve employee comfort, and enhance productivity. Implement automation systems to improve efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and maintain operational consistency through maintenance schedules.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university or a non-ABET accredited university with a Professional Engineering license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of ergonomics and applicable industry standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite or related software.
- Solid understanding of statistical analysis and quality control procedures.
- Aptitude for learning new software and systems.
- Experience in manufacturing or a related industry.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
