Job Description: 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide tier 2/3 support for approximately 6,000 VDI users.
  • Resolve incidents and tasks related to the VDI environment.
  • Ensure compliance and security by managing patching, updates, and upgrades.
  • Implement platform upgrades and changes as needed.
  • Package applications using VMware AppVolume.
  • Monitor the VDI environment and respond to alerts promptly.
  • Provide on-call support and work after hours when required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience building, deploying, and managing VMware Horizon in a medium to large-scale environment.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting VMware ESXi on-premise environments.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining virtual workstation OS images, including optimization and profile management using DEM and FSLogix, as well as application packaging using AppVolume.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience with monitoring, optimization (including user experience and infrastructure), and automated issue resolution.
  • Experience supporting a virtual end-user platform in a multi-datacenter, multi-domain environment.
  • Proven track record of providing tier 3 end-user support.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with VMware Workspace ONE.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based VDI solutions (e.g., Horizon Cloud).
  • Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • ITIL certification
