Position details:

Title: Securities and Derivatives Analyst

Client: Bank

Location: Tampa, FL

Duration: 12 months Contract to hire/possible extension

Responsibilities:

• Reconciliation of accounts managed by the Securities & Derivatives area
• Serve as analytical or procedural expert for securities processing deliverables/initiatives
• Monitor errors, suggest solutions to reduce errors, and ensure adherence to audit and control policies
• Monitor, analyze, and evaluate processes and data to ensure accuracy and quality of completed settlement tasks
• Lead projects and initiatives to support Sec Finance Trading Desk with various tasks
• Provide cash investment support for different investment processing types
• Contribute to creating customized reporting for management
• Support implementation of securities processing improvements
• Assist in identifying policy gaps and formulating policies to streamline work processes
• Provide guidance and training to lower level/new securities processing team members when required

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills:

• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to assess risk and make sound business decisions
• Knowledge of securities processing and related policies
• Ability to lead projects and initiatives to successful completion
• Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in tasks.
