About the Role:

The Protein Engineering group at our organization is looking for a Molecular Biology contractor to support our molecular biology capabilities.
The primary focus of this role is to design and engineer enzymes, therapeutic proteins/peptides for drug discovery and development.
This is a lab-based position that requires 100% onsite presence.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for DNA related workflow such as gene library construction, cloning, high-throughput DNA preparation, and sequencing to support protein directed evolution workflow.
Hands-on experience in various Molecular Biology techniques including DNA cloning, DNA purification, PCR, primer design, DNA sequencing and analysis, bacterial transformation, and culture.
Independently design Molecular Cloning works.
Experience with DNA sequencing technologies (Sanger) and sequencing data analysis.
Strong communication and organization skills.
Excellent teamwork and multitasking abilities.
Good documentation of experimental reports.

Education Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in biological science with 4+ years of experience in molecular biology, or an MS degree with 2+ years, or PhD in a molecular biology related discipline.

Skill:

Expertise in Molecular Biology Techniques (DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, Cloning, mutagenesis, gel electrophoresis, bacterial transformation, and culture).
Ability to independently design Molecular Cloning works.
Experience with DNA sequencing technologies (Sanger) and sequencing data analysis.
Molecular Biology and analysis software knowledge (Geneious, Benchling, etc).
Programming skills (Python, etc) is a plus.
Experience in protein directed evolution platforms (phage display, yeast display, mRNA display) is a plus.
Experience with high-throughput screening and automated liquid handling is a plus.
