About the Role:

We are looking for a Product Development Engineer to evaluate the functionality and customer experience of new technology. The successful candidate will provide technical and CX feedback to development teams, visit customer sites to deploy new technology, collect customer feedback, and quantify impacts of new technology. Additionally, summarizing results in writing for presentation to development team leadership will be a key responsibility.

Travel:

  • Texas, MS, Seattle, Miami, Orlando locations; 
  • 10 trips total for the year approximately. 
  • 3-4 day at travel site 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the functionality and customer experience of new technology
  • Provide technical and CX feedback to development teams 
  • Visit customer sites and deploy new technology
  • Collect customer feedback and quantify impacts of new technology 
  • Summarize results in writing for presentation to development team leadership

Education Qualification:

  • A 4-year science/engineering degree preferred.
  • 4 year degree in similar field.
  • Previous retail in the back of house operations preferred.
  • Strong communication and data analysis skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of product development experience in consumer hardware development and deployment
  • Previous experience teaching and communicating complex topics, both written and verbally, to diverse audiences
  • Previous experience analyzing risk/reward tradeoffs and making decisions in an ambiguous and ever-changing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical field
  • Scripting skills
  • Formal coursework/training in project management
