Responsibilities:•Interview patients to obtain demographic information•Verify insurance eligibility and obtain insurance authorization•Input patient registration information into computer system•Provide accurate information to patients and outside entities•Discuss financial arrangements with patients and family members•Direct patients to correct locations and arrange patient transport•Maintain patient charts and inventory of supplies•Participate in process improvement initiatives•Serve as an onboarding resource for new patient services staffEducation Qualification:•High School diploma or GEDRequired Skills:•Knowledge of patient registration procedures and documentation•Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures•Skill in using personal computers and software applications•Interpersonal and customer service skills•Verbal and written communication skills•Ability to obtain patient demographic information and verify insurance eligibility
