Job Duration: 6+ Months (Contract to hire)

Pay Rate: $42.48/hr to $43.48/hr

Job Description:

Mission:

The Hardware Validation Engineer will be a member of the hardware validation team with responsibilities for the test and validation of the analog, digital, and embedded sub-systems for products.
This will require close cooperation with the design, validation and test automation team.

Day to Day:

You will work at the integrated circuit and product systems level. In this role, you will:
Work with design teams to develop validation plans
Execute hands-on validation in a lab environment
Perform manual test setups using common lab equipment
Run automated testing using various test platforms and test suites.
Review and analyze test reports to identify design or test set up issues
Basic scripting knowledge
Perform functional verification of electrical subsystems
Debug/tune of custom hardware

Must Haves:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, related filed or equivalent experience
3+ years of overall experience in validation/test experience
Experience in failure analysis and troubleshooting skills in a laboratory environment
Experience with prototyping solutions and bench testing methodology and proficiency in operating common lab equipment
Experience with test automation with background in scripting
Experience working in a laboratory environment
Experience with EE fundamentals

Pluses:

Experience with audio, power supplies, video, cameras, I2C/SPI/UART buses, and highspeed electrical signal characterization
Automation experience (i.e. shell, Perl, Python, Bash, etc.)
Experience with battery powered, wireless, embedded HW/SW consumer devices
