Position: Linux Engineer

• I will drive system reliability, security, and performance while supporting business objectives.

Day to day:

A typical day for a Senior Linux Engineer with hands-on Packer experience involves designing and building Packer templates, managing Packer workflows, integrating Packer with CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting issues, collaborating with teams, and staying updated on Packer and Linux technologies.

Must haves: 7+ years in all skills**

• Proficiency in Red Ht Linux:Deep understanding of RHEL (7, 8 & 9) administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong scripting skills:Expertise in shell scripting (Bash, KornShell) and Python for automation.
• System administration:Experience in managing system processes, services, and users.
• Networking:Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and firewall configuration.
• Security:Knowledge of Linux security best practices and hardening techniques.
• Packer Expertise
• Proficiency in Packer:Hands-on experience with creating and managing Packer templates and workflows.
• Integration with CI/CD pipelines:Ability to integrate Packer with CI/CD tools for automated image builds.
• Understanding of Packer best practices:Knowledge of best practices for using Packer to create efficient and secure images.
• Automation and Scripting
• Scripting languages:Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Automation tools:Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):Understanding of IaC principles and tools for automating infrastructure provisioning.
