About the Role:

• Project Engineering provides multi-discipline engineering leadership for natural gas capital projects, including gas distribution, transmission, city gates/regulator stations, compression, and storage facilities.
• The Civil Engineer will be involved in various projects within the Metering, Regulation, and Controls department, supporting city gate, regulator station, and gas analysis building projects.
• The role involves identifying and scoping civil engineering design and construction requirements, contracting engineering services, providing technical leadership, assisting in contracting construction services, and completing closeout activities.
• Responsibilities: - Identify and scope civil engineering design and construction requirements for projects
• Contract engineering services needed to complete the scope Provide engineering review and technical leadership
• Assist Project Manager in contracting construction services Complete closeout activities such as record drawings and test records
• Provide regular project updates to the supervisor
• Tolerate a heavy industrial environment with loud, hot, and oily locations -  visits and inspections
• Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field. A professional engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• Required Skills: Working knowledge in civil design including site design, stormwater management, foundation design, etc.
• Experience coordinating and developing contract documents for engineering drawings and technical specifications - Familiarity with Civil/Structural codes such as IBC/MBC, AISC Steel Construction Manual, ACI 318, etc.
• Personal Skills: - Ability to work safely in an industrial environment Ability to work independently - Strong communication skills for project updates and risk assessment - Engineering leadership and problem-solving abilities
