About the Role:

  • We are seeking a licensed physical, occupational, or speech therapist to join our team as a Prior Authorization Therapist.
  • This role involves reviewing requests, determining medical necessity, and ensuring customer care and satisfaction through healthcare utilization management.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing requests and determining medical necessity based on standard policies and procedures
  • Utilizing clinical expertise and knowledge to make informed decisions 
  • Ensuring customer care and satisfaction through healthcare utilization management
  • Communicating effectively with healthcare providers and other team members

Education Qualification:

  • Degree from an approved accredited school as a physical, occupational, or speech therapist
  • Must meet Texas licensure requirements and possess a current and unrestricted PT, OT, or ST license from the State of Texas
  • Minimum of 2 years post-licensure experience in a hospital, clinic, or agency with the pediatric population

Required Skills:

  • Proficient analysis and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong critical clinical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Basic computer knowledge with the ability to learn additional computer programs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
