Job Description:

  • The Manufacturing Production Planner will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • This role involves collaborating with various departments to optimize production processes, manage inventory levels, and ensure efficient use of resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and sales departments to ensure seamless workflow and communication.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, and adjust production plans as needed.
  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with the production team to resolve any issues or delays in the manufacturing process.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production status, inventory levels, and other key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to implement process improvements and new product introductions.
  • Manage and update the production planning system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data.
  • Forecast production needs based on sales trends, market analysis, and customer orders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in production planning, manufacturing, or supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials management, and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices is a plus.
