About the Role:

• We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to assist in the preparation, distribution, and accounting of employee payroll.
• The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison to employees and third-party payroll vendors to ensure accurate payroll processing that reflects company-specific pay policies.

Responsibilities:

• Audit employee pay records and reconcile totals by departmental cost center, location, etc.
• Participate in payroll system upgrades and implementations.
• Resolve outstanding payroll inquiries and ensure correct FLSA status per employee.
• Interpret pay policies and ensure accurate calculation and application of amounts/deductions.
• Ensure company compliance with federal and state payroll standards. 
• Assist with audits for correctly classifying and paying employees.
• Prepare tax reports and document payroll processes and procedures.
• Train other payroll staff and provide backup support as needed.

Education Qualification:

• Prior experience in Payroll processing and/or Payroll operations. 
• Preferably 3+ years of Payroll experience.

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of payroll processing and operations.
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll standards.
• Ability to interpret and apply pay policies accurately.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in payroll software and systems.
• This role is located in our Rocklin, CA office.
• The team is hybrid and works 2 days/week in the office.
• Local candidates will be considered.

Pay Range : $23/hr - $26/hr
