Position Details:

Title: Telecom Transport Engineer (Level IV) / Cell Site Transport Engineer

Type (Contract, C2H, Perm): Contract - 6+ months + extension up to 30 months

Locations: Tues/Weds in office (ideally), and the rest are onsite in the sites across- Bedminster, NJ/ Blue Bell, PA/ Harrisburg, PA

Shift/Core Hours: 9-5PM

Compensation: $60-$70/HR

Interview Process: 1-2 Rounds

 

Day to day what are the responsibilities:

  • Managing the workload within the transport team, upgrading cell sites
  • Will be assigned a site (macros, small cell, 5G)
  • Could be working on repetitive sites
  • Troubleshooting involved if issues arise on site
  • 80/20 in terms of predefined templates vs. customization for cell sites (most are built similar)

Must-haves/key skills needed:

  • Telecom Background as cell sites are connected to Fiber MSE or HUB)
  • Understanding the overall picture on how cell sites are connected
  • Understand Routers - how it aggregates traffic
  • Routers (Service Portal - configuration builder)
  • Excel (export of documents)
  • Circuit Design
