Job Title: Java Production Support Specialist

Location-Newark, DE, Addison, TX,  Chandler, AZ (Hybrid, 3 day onsite, 2 day remote)

Duration: 12 – 18 months contract

Job Description:

• We are seeking a skilled Java Production Support Specialist (L3) to join our team, responsible for ensuring the stability and efficiency of production systems.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java J2EE, experience in Splunk, and be proficient in querying Oracle databases.
• Familiarity with the Spring framework, Batch framework, and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes is essential. Experience with MuleSoft is a plus.
• This role is crucial for maintaining system performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with development teams to resolve critical production incidents.
• Candidates will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality support for mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L3 production support for Java-based applications, ensuring timely resolution of production issues.
• Monitor system performance and application logs using Splunk to identify and troubleshoot errors.
• Execute and optimize Oracle database queries to retrieve, update, and manage production data.
• Collaborate with L2 support and development teams to resolve high-priority incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Apply ITSM best practices for incident, problem, and change management.
• Support and maintain applications built with the Spring and Batch frameworks.
• Provide recommendations for system and process improvements to enhance performance and reduce downtime.
• Work closely with stakeholders to communicate issue status, resolution times, and post-incident reviews.
• Document support processes, workflows, and common troubleshooting steps for knowledge-sharing.

Required Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in Java J2EE development or production support.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing Oracle SQL queries.
• Experience with ITSM tools and processes (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy) for handling incidents, changes, and problems.
• Strong understanding of the Spring framework and Batch framework.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, with a focus on root cause identification and resolution.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
