What are they expected:
  • Defining an architectural vision and architecture for large complex solutions, which aligns with the enterprise architecture strategy, technology and platform choices. 
  • Contributes in the creation of the architecture roadmap of defined domains (Business, Application, Data and Technology) in support of the product roadmap.
  • Implementing and architecting high performing, resilient and scalable enterprise systems
  • Well versed with digital channels - HTML, how browsers work, how applications are designed around browsers, what are some of the aspects when you are trying to build an application of that scale, specific to UI
  • User experience - understand how the digital design is translated into the application
  • Security - making applications secure, information security, vulnerabilities (i.e. working with external facing applications and how to mitigate risk on digital platforms.
Day to day what are the responsibilities:
  • Develop and publish architecture reference material and design patterns to drive designs for consensus and approval, being able to translate easily from technical to non-technical language.
  • Full Stack and Front end development
  • Work with multiple teams, cross functional/ global (onshore/offshore model)
  • Attending JAD sessions with stakeholders
  • Collaborating / taking requirements from stakeholders
  • Collecting takeaways from the meetings (using Visio, architectural diagrams, workflow diagrams, component diagrams, user workflow or business process flow diagrams, PPTs)
  • Working with teams onshore and offshore, building documents for projects/milestones
  • Updating internal teams
  • Ability to influence teams
 Must-haves/key skills needed:
  • Front end experience #1 (not hands on but should be able to design a proof of concept and fully understand the technologies)
      • Creating best practices for developers
      • Understanding SDLC processes
      • Must understand UI/UX in a complex environment
    • Information security #2
      • Knowledge of Secure coding practices.
      • Secure by design
    • Domain knowledge in payments technologies #3
      • (what are some payment related protocols, i.e. SWIFT)
    • Communication skills to drive the conversation and represent the team
      • Strong interpersonal skills, creating updates for SLTs, relaying information, working with stakeholders.
      • Comfortable with onshore/offshore model/ overlap with hours
    • Architecture experience (4-5 years)
      • Taking and understanding requirements
      • Using Visio, creating architectural diagrams, workflow diagrams, component diagrams, user workflow or business process flow diagrams, PPTs)
      • Understanding synchronous and asynchronous applications (MVC)
