About the Role:

• We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Engineer with experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, proficiency in database management, and the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve at an executive level.
• This role requires someone who is self-motivated, can work independently, and has a strong understanding of wireless engineering principles.

Day to Day Responsiblities:

• Develop a monthly interconnect implementation plan to support various build targets such as macro, in-building, small cell, and 5G projects - Create, design, and issue CIQs (IP/Ports assignments) for new cells, trunks, and circuit ordering 
• Place circuit orders with Local Exchange Carriers for telco services 
• Understand and utilize Telecom products such as Native Ethernet, TLS, and Dark Fiber - Collaborate with multiple engineers and workgroups to evaluate and implement the best solutions for projects 
• Manage workflow to ensure multiple tasks and projects are completed on time 
• Utilize project management skills to oversee and coordinate various engineering tasks 

Must Haves:

• A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is desired Required 
• Proficiency in office computer applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint,  Sheets, and Docs - Strong interpersonal and communication skills -
• Experience with engineering and engineering economic principles - Knowledge of wireless 4G and 5G services and architecture -
• Familiarity with XNG/Granite circuit database and ASR ordering systems - Understanding of interconnect circuit types and features -
• Experience with wavelength division multiplexing technology and IPV4/IPV6 addressing
